Fewer
friends: It is often
said that when you internalize your dream, the subconscious gradually act
consistently with your dream regardless of your status at the point in time.
This consistency in your behavior is noticed by people around you. Mere having
a dream and internalizing it make you stand out. Developing a dream is the
beginning of transformational process of human recreation. So people that can
live with your transforming personality and in tune with your dream tend to
remain your friends. Others who cannot tolerate your dream simply walk away.
When a life and its purpose is defined, great chance are that you will loose
good number of your friends. This is a phenomenon which I call ‘Waves of
purposeful life’ having a dream makes you stand out; pursuing your dream make
you unique. On lookers don’t see you as an out stander in the making. They
simply see you as odd because you stand out. So they tend to avoid you because
of this singular fact. Never mind such neglect won’t last for long. I find
expression for why friends depart from you stated in my book titled ‘Diary of
Reflections’. You will loose irrelevant friends and gain those important to
your dream. Those relevant to your dream will be few. Some friends depart from
you because you alone see your dream in the light of today; others recognize it
when it becomes a reality.
Great
resilience: often
times in life, we seek courage from friends and close relatives; searching
their faces and conscience for encouragement they mostly cannot give. Little do
we realize that a man cannot give what he doesn’t have. So you will eventually
learn that a many of the people you look up to for courage to do what you do
cannot give you or don’t want to give you. Internalizing your dream make you
resilient in life it will shot your mind against negative external influences
from the environment. Even when everyone around you doesn’t support your dream,
your drive born out of resilience will help you surpass their imaginations. I
have seen the world through. It is filled with derelicts of terrified
individuals who would never see beyond their nose. These people are too scared
to venture into the unknown. The same fear that have sunk many into oblivion.
When you are totally convinced of the workability of your dream, you won’t need
external drive to spur you. Your charisma will burn like a fury flame. If you
don’t build your resilient, the world will convince you why your dream will not
work and why you must be like others.
Determination: is the courage that drives your
will. It is born out of conviction in your dream and personality. This is a
great quality of achievers. Determination is the indomitable will that
energizes zeal. Yet fir its total functionality, it requires courage built from
resilience and tenacity.
Tenacity: there is a thin line between stupid
stubbornness and tenacity. You must know the difference between the two because
the former leads to destruction while the later lead to success. To achieve
your dream in life, you don’t have to be stubborn or rude; you only have to
tenaciously forge ahead.
Faith: believe in your dream and don’t wait
for another to tell you it works. Faith is a ritual of believe that cannot be
owned without practice. You must believe in yourself and the supernatural
taking the belief sequence exactly in the stated order. God needs your faith to
work wonders.
Self
realization: is that
point in one’s life when purpose is understood. It is the stage where self
content overrule our actions. Understanding your life purpose simply brings a
new consciousness into your own existence. Pursuing such purpose brings most
desired satisfaction to the soul. You must therefore seek to understand
everything about yourself because true self knowledge is the soul of happiness
and success. The brevity of happiness in riches consoles many of us. Rather
than seek true happiness that last in self realization, we continuously look
for relief where none lies.
Goal
setting: brevity of
human life shows that we don’t have luxury of time. It is of great essence to
make use of the little we’ve got by developing concise plan spelt out in
defined goals. If a man set out on a journey without knowing where he is going,
he should expect to find himself anywhere. After self realization, goal setting
help define your course as well as your destination. When you find yourself at
the wrong location, you will surely know because you already know where you
want to be.
Time
management: refers
to prudence of time use. We find ourselves plunging into activities that waste
judicious time. Imagine that someone spend his twenty-four hours everyday
like this: Sleep- 8 hours, watching TV- 6 hours, work or school- 8 hours, other
activities (cooking, hanging out)- 2 hours. You can as well score yourself
putting the hours you spend on your daily routines. As tight as each day
schedule might be, there is the need for you to do everyday the singular thing
that develop your life purpose. I have been doing mine for more than eight
years now. I can tell you it has been awesome.
Cognitive
thinking: I consider
this process as very important to your achievement. Critical analytical
thinking crates a multi-dimensional view of your goals. It thus brings better
clarity to them. Through your process of strategic planning and implementation,
you must be logical in your application.
Growth: can be the outcome of continuous
habitual manner which you form out of your quest to achieve a complete happy
life. It means that if you enjoy what you do and persist on doing it, you’re
bound to see tremendous improvement in your skills. Growth is just a natural
tendency of a persistent mind. If you find yourself doing a thing and you
cannot identify improvement over years, then you have to assess your skills and
methods. Either as a student, worker, entrepreneur or artisan, you must always
sharpen your skills for improvement.
To
your success,
